Rather than another book review this week, we thought we would share what we are watching at home at the moment. We are watching The Chosen, which you will find on YouTube.

The Chosen is one of the most engaging Bible inspired productions we have ever seen. With a charismatic fisherman drowning in debt, a troubled woman wrestling with demons and a kind gifted young man, ostracised by his family and his people working for the ruling authorities, we see the whole range of humanity being represented. We see Jesus reaching each of these individuals, and many more, as he works His first miracles and embarks on His ministry to change the world. In a sense we get to see Jesus through the eyes of those who knew Him first.

We haven’t finished watching the series yet but so far, we can only highly recommend. It is surprisingly relatable, deeply moving, full of joy and times beautifully winsome. So far, we have watched episode after episode, not because we have felt obligated to as Christians, but because it is so engaging, insightful and compelling.

As we go into the weekend, we pray that you will know peace, encouragement, hope and the fullness of life that Jesus offers us.
